I feel better knowing we have a date because it's not still unknown. But having a date puts it into reality that it is really going to happen. Rowdy and I both feel a lot more confident since talking to the surgeons. We found out that one of the surgeons Dr. Nikaidoh, is 76 and still runs 3 miles every morning. He knows what he is doing, he has over 40 years experience and even has a pediatric cardiac procedure named after him. The other surgeon, Dr. Barth, has over 25 years experience. Dr. Nikaidoh, Dr. Barth and their PA who runs the heart/lung machine have been working together for over 25 years.
A good friend took some picture of Logan's chest pre-surgery/pre-scar. She is an amazing photographer and I am so happy with our pictures.
O Lord, you alone are my hope. I've trusted you, O Lord, from childhood. Yes, You have been with me from birth; from my mother's womb you have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising you! My life is an example to many because you have been my strength and protection, that is why I can never stop praising You. I declare your glory all day long.
Psalm 71:5-7
